To participate on my Padlet wall post, just visit this site that I have made asking about your favorite artist ( ) and feel free to comment. It is effective that you can attach your Padlet wall to many social networks or any document and Padlet allows anyone to participate without the deterrence of signing up to another tool. I did have an issue signing up and back in again but if the Padlet was specifically used, as it was in our class, I think it’s an effective and simple way to communicate and share quick bits of information. With this in mind and all that said, if I had not been sent classmates wall attachments I don’t know how I would go about finding them. The uses seem endless for collaborative or an individual’s needs. With all of the tools out there, I felt Padlet was one of the easiest to use, edit and post. Opening a new post-it wall and continuing to add to it can be a useful tool in organizing idea’s, collecting particular information or posting important statements in a reading. I personally always carry a notebook with me to take notes or sketch ideas that I know I will soon forget, if not put into print. This tool can be incorporated into an individual’s note taking or a kind of idea storage unit also.

Padlet could be used to help inform and inspire students by receiving answers to their questions with content that they may have not previously considered. Continuing to return to a post allows the host and participants to constantly contribute and progress.

This tool could aid in the concept of flipping the class by students sharing research that would be discussed in class. Students could then pursue the topic further by asking questions while other students reply. The integration concept of Padlet can be incorporated to organize a class into a certain focal point by asking students a particular question, requiring students to reply by answering the question. Reading random walls, I noticed it can be quite an informative tool if used and distributed accurately. My Instructional Technologies (INDT 501) is using Padlet to get experience, and more associated with this tool, by tossing out some of our interest or questions. It is a concept of collaboratively using sticky notes to communicate, ask questions or find inspiration. This program is really simple to use and could be a fun way to communicate with students and students with each other.

Padlet appears to have changed slightly from its former title Wallwisher but overall it has remained the same note posting concept with collaboration at its core. This week’s blog focuses on the tool called Padlet formerly known as Wallwisher.
